Rachel P. / Tools – Basic to Advanced: During the Tools workshop, we will cover basic to advanced tools in use for motorcycle repair as well as tool use safety. We will discuss the difference between Metric and SAE (standard) measurements, and what basic tools should always be kept “on-board” for road-side repairs. Tools can be expensive, so we will also discuss which tools you can purchase inexpensively, and which tools you should spend a little more for. Participants will have an opportunity to practice with specific tools in a hands-on demo. We will also show and discuss a few common homemade tools.

Chryssa H. / Speak the Language: Chryssa has been a gearhead workin in oil change shops, auto parts stores, wrenchin on bikes as a mechanic, and riding year round since college.
In her portion of the event, she will cover the language necessary to communicate all things motorcycle. From tools and tool tricks for women, to naming every component and part on your bike and every bike, she will give you the tricks of the trade.
“Knowing what to call something is the first step to having the confidence you need, and the respect to be listened to. Motorcycles and motors are a different language, you need to get your passport first.”
Chryssa will be available after her talk for questions, and also to demonstrate the workings of the inside of a motor.

Becky R. / Carburetion & EFI: Becky will take you  into the history of a carburetor, the function, different types, jetting and tuning and then she will also go into EFI for those riders equipped with this system or if you just want to learn more about.

Corky D. / Brake Pads – Quick & Easy!: Corky is going to empower you to do your own brake pad changes. She will take you through the steps of Preparation, Inspection, Removal, Cleaning & Replacement of the front brake caliper.
